Equifax cyberattack

Did Equifax do enough to protect highly sensitive consumer information?

Equifax recently confirmed on Thursday, September 7th, 2017, that hackers had gained access to company data that has compromised, highly sensitive information for 143 million consumers.

The information potentially compromised includes:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver License Numbers
  • Birthdates
  • Names
  • Credit Card Numbers
  • And other highly sensitive information

We are monitoring this situation and are evaluating potential class action claims for breach of implied contract, negligence and other related consumer claims. Equifax and other companies who gather and maintain personal consumer information are required to have security measures and other protections to protect against unlawful access to highly sensitive consumer information. You should check your credit reports, and bank accounts for any unusuaul or unauthorized activity.
